I believe it's the middle of August when this recording was done.
I do know that summer vacation was well underway.
As construction carries on outside, 12 floors below, I enjoy a hearty
game of CastleVania 1.  I'm on the road to the Grim Reaper, 
carrying the Boomerang, trying to get the double and triple shots.
Here, we enter as I'm in the middle of a Master P parody, approaching
the last door to the Grim Reaper.  The rap artist Master P's most
noted song at the time was 'Make 'em say uuuh', which was also most
of its' lyrics...  There's also a skit on the album in which a
tele-phony tries to pass himself off as Master P.

Eric: This game is making me say...RRAAAAGH!

(heart noise and other actions)

Eric:	This is P!  
	Who?  
	P! 
	P?
	Yeh, this P!
	P??? P, let me hear ya say uuuh.
	(severely screwed up 'uuuh')
	Ey yo this ain't no mutha *aat-oot! P!
		
(bashin'stuff, and there's the II!)

(heart)
	
Eric: Double shot!  **"Double!"  "Bound shot!"

(game suddenly freezes in mid-song)

(5 seconds of background as I put this together...)

Eric: UUuummm...  I don't like it when it does that. (it never did 
before!)
 
(7 seconds later...)

Eric: That's bad for business. (deep breath) Well the game is eleven, 
years, old, and, ahmmm... ...it's sort of weird that we're experiencing
this thing rotting before our very eyes, but,... DID IT HAVE TO BE NOW?

(up close and personal with the flat "BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA---" and
cut off)  

Well, that's it!  A good CV1 groove killed by it's operating 
technology. On that day, when CastleVania 1 was in the NES's hands, 
Nintendo had butterfingers.  I wonder if that would repeat itself.
I'd call this time to man the set...

*The actual skit included the hilarious "cuckoo!" BEEP.  The uncensored
version of the Master P skit is on the album. 
**"Double" and "Bound Shot" are both Parodius references.  As it was
done in Gradius and Parodius, I call out the the "DOUBLE!" which is the
II in this case.
