Ninja Gaibon is back!
This man is the Blue Gargoyle in Super CastleVania 4! The Blue Bat, later named Gaibon, is another one of Count Dracula's elite guards. He's the next one you face after Slogra's done with you. This undead creature will flap onto the scene, raining down fireballs with a nice little gargoylian sound effect. He'll also stop, then land on his feet with a THUD to send stalactites to fall down on you, while spitting three fire shots as shown. When you've cleared away most of his energy line, the Blue Bat will fall down to the ground. Don't think you're done when he falls down to the ground! His body temperature will increase, he'll turn red with fury and more fire! He'll use more of the fire shots and won't touch the ground. If he stops in mid flight, avoid the three way shots firing down. When you kill him, enjoy the loud noise caused by death, and watch the bones BURN!
Why did I call this a bat? Long ago, in the early days of my CastleVania career, I, um, wrote down in the instruction manual the password for his room, and in the space provided, simply wrote Bat. Slogra's password was Dinosaur. This is probably one of the most fun masters of Super CastleVania 4. Probably because fighting him is a hit fest.
Strangely, during his conversion to Symphony, the Gaibon ceased to look undead as this Super NES snapshot shows, flesh dripping off his mouth, lower abdominal ribs showing. He's very much alive in Symphony. He's tougher, buffer, and more of the stuffer, nah mean? One of the Devil Knights of Death proficient at mid-air attacks, this Gaibon attacks you in the Alchemy Laboratory with Slogra. He'll pick up Slogra and try to drop the beast down on you. When Gaibon's weakened this time around, he'll fire what seems to be meteors!
In roleplaying games, I play the part of this blue dude... and the red one... and Slogra... and...
